Ok, la fine del mondo non c’è stata.

Quindi possiamo proseguire!

Stiamo lavorando in questi giorni nel definire gli obiettivi per il 2013, e per fare questo ci sia ingegnati nel realizzare il video di cui al post precedente, nonchè di una presentazione che possa fungere tanto da nuovo modello per le prossime quanto da tramite accativante, snello e comprensibile quando veniamo invitati a spiegare il nostro progetto.

Insomma, abbiamo utilizzato Prezi (“prizi”, in inglese si dice “prizi”, NON “prezi”!!!).

E’ un software disponibile sia in versione online che desktop (offline) con la quale è possibile realizzare presentazioni di progetti e di ragionamenti molto differente dal più classico PowerPoint e suoi fratelli (Keynote, Impress, ecc.). Prezi si muove per mappe mentali, slega il discorso dalla sequenzialità, consente/obbliga l’utilizzo di un approccio improntato alla dinamicità tipica delle mappe concettuali. Come per PowerPoint è prevista la possibilità di creare un percorso ma risulta molto più agevole esulare da esso, per imbastire il racconto in forme nuove e diverse a seconda della situazione. Se con PowerPoint racconto un percorso, con Prezi giro sul tavolo tutto ciò che so di una certa questione, la distribuisco secondo un certo ordine, sviluppo il racconto prendendo un po’ di qua e un po’ di là. Un po’ la differenza che passa tra un pranzo di nozze classico (almeno nel Nord Italia) e un pranzo a buffet!

Molte indicazioni e suggerimenti del manuale sul sito di Prezi, e tante altre su blog vari o tra i video di youtube.Suggeriamo in particolare quelli di Luca Vanin (che ringraziamo!) per la chiarezza e la semplicità: qui, qui e qui.

Purtroppo non ci è possibile caricare sulla piattaforma WordPress che ospita questo blog la presentazione stessa, per cui ci siamo anche arrangiati con la realizzazione di un video della presentazione stessa. A memoria futura e come suggerimento per chi si trovasse in situazioni analoghe: è sufficiente realizzare uno screencast del video mentre la presentazione scorre, utilizzando

• ambiente Windows: Camtasia, o qualunque software di screencast gratis
• ambiente Linux: Kazam, Tibesti, RecordMyDesktop, o più semplicemente da terminale il comando
  avconv -f alsa -i pulse -f x11grab -r 30 -s 1366×768 -i :0.0 -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -threads 4 -y myscreencast.mp4
  di cui non diamo particolari spiegazioni: chi vorrà troverà tutto quel che desidera sul web

So the end of the world didn’t come, and we go on with our project. In order to renew and improve the way we present our work to people we realized a Prezi presentation. It is a new software, available online and offline (desktop version) that can be used in alternative to the well known PowerPoint (and similar ones). Really, it is more than an alternative: in fact, while PowerPoint focus on a sequential way of telling a story or describing a project, with Prezi you have to work with concept maps, which gives more dynamism to the presentation. With Prezi it is not important the starting point, you only need to focus on what you have, all your material you want to tell, organizing it in macro areas and then creating a path.

So, if PowerPoint is like a road you walk telling things, Prezi seems more like a table where you place all your ideas, grouping and organizing, and then talking about.

Since we don’t know a way to link a Prezi presentation on a wordpress blog, we created a simple video with a screencast of the presentation itself. We suggest these ways:

• for Windows users: Camtasia, and similar software, there are many freeware
• for Linux user: Kazam, Tibesti, RecordMyDesktop, or simply with a terminal command like
